To design your career around your faith, beliefs, and values you need to:

Get clear about where you’re out of alignment and where you want to be. Are you doing the right work in the wrong company? Are you in the wrong industry? Are you not using your God-given talents? Only when you’re clear about where you are and what you want your whole life to be like can you take the next step.

Create a strategy to get you where you want to go. Today’s careers aren’t the straight road that our parents and grandparents were on. Change is a way of life and taking a different route for a while is perfectly acceptable. Once you have clarity it becomes easier to carve out a new path to follow.

Improve your skills. This doesn’t mean focusing on areas of weakness. But there are some skills each of us needs to improve so we can leverage our gifts. For example, if you don’t interview well you’re not going to get the job you want.

Maximize your environment. Like it or not, most of us are impacted by those we’re around and by the space we work in. If you’re not reaching your potential or are struggling to achieve your goals you’re probably not maximizing your environment in some ways.

Get out of your own way. Our fears, self doubts, and limiting beliefs hold us back and keep us from making the changes we want and need to make. Identifying how our pride and our thoughts get in our way and keep us tied to the familiar is the beginning of becoming open to creating a new, faith-centered, and joyful life.
