Mid-Career / Mid-Life Professionals...

"Get articles, tips, and resources to guide and support you on your journey to create a life that’s consistent with your beliefs and values.”

Have you had enough?

Enough of slaving and sacrificing too much of yourself for your job? Enough of putting family, friends, and even your own health on the back burner so you can get the big project done on time…so you can stay late while others walk out at the end of the day…

Sure, you’ve done some great things, gotten some great accolades, and you’ve made a decent living…but you know in your heart something’s missing, don’t you?

Even when you find work that uses your strengths, talents, and core gifts you’ll always face temptations to sacrifice your values and your beliefs.

It’s true: Work will always be work and it will always involve stress and juggling multiple demands. Unfortunately churches aren’t talking about how to make “the Sunday to Monday connection” that helps you consciously make choices that keep you in alignment with your faith, beliefs, and values. It’s just not their focus.

But it’s mine.

I really believe it’s in the workplace that our faith gets tested most of all. While work finances our life, sometimes the choices we make actually force us to be slaves to a job we hate…force us to get remain on a merry-go-round that we can’t seem to stop…

We’re Christians 24-hours a day…Shouldn’t our actions reflect that?...Even at work?

I’m not talking about preaching at work. I’m not talking about forcing our faith on other people. I am talking about actively living your faith, beliefs, and values and creating a life that’s in sync with what you believe and what you value.

That’s where my ezine, The Mustard Seed comes in. You won't find any extremism in The Mustard Seed. Jesus' message was tolerance and forgiveness and The Mustard Seed is all about that too.
